Phoenix is dedicated to recycling and improving the environment. In line with this principle we now offer you the opportunity to recycle various unwanted items which you can find listed under Recycling on the left of this page.
For example did you know that between 550,000 - 900,000 tonnes of textiles are thrown away each year. Most of these textile could be recycled. Did you know that over 2,500 tonnes of CDs are thrown away each year? CDs/DVDs/Computer games can be repaired, even if they have heavy scratches. Even if they can't be repaired they can be 100% recycled. Did you know that only 20% of unwanted mobile phones in the UK are recycled each year? That means that the other 80% are either buried in draws or simply thrown away.
So please consider the environment, those in need, and your community before simply throwing away anything.
